Scott Davis, founder and president, started Southern Heart Pine Recovery after many years of working in every aspect of the wood reclamation industry. Beginning as a teenager working in the field of industrial construction all over the country, converting to demolition projects about fifteen years ago, he has dismantled over nine large textile plants throughout the southeastern United States.

In 2005, Scott went to work as a buyer/seller at the country's largest provider of reclaimed antique woods. In April, 2007, he saw the need for a reliable source of wood in the industry; someone who could provide the saw mill with a consistent supply of top-quality antique reclaimed wood.

Today, we take great pride in finding turn-of-the-century mills, warehouses, barns and similar buildings, to provide the best wood available to customers. We also take pride in our process of dismantling these structures with little to no damage to the product, as well as in our ability to identify the source and grade of our woods. We separate our wood by grade, allowing your company to purchase only what is needed, and nothing you don't.
